Meet LaShonda H. Henderson

CEO, L&L Clinical Counseling Services, LLC

LaShonda H. Henderson is the visionary leader behind L&L Clinical Counseling Services, LLC, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise in mental health and trauma recovery.

She holds a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University in St. Louis, MO, and is a proud graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and a Qualified Supervisor, she guides and supports aspiring therapists. Additionally, she is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia and Texas.

LaShonda is a Certified EMDR Therapist, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and a Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method Teacher. Her extensive training includes credentials as a Batterer’s Intervention Program Facilitator and a Certified Prepare and Enrich Facilitator. She is currently under supervision to become a Certified Sex Therapist.

Beyond her clinical expertise, LaShonda is also an author. Her memoir, The Longest Walk Home: My Journey of How I Survived Teen Dating Violence, offers a powerful glimpse into her personal experience as a survivor of teen dating violence. Her second book, Bag Lady: The Emotional Consequences of Intimacy Dating Violence, is set for release in Winter 2025.

A veteran of the United States Army, LaShonda served as a Military Police Officer, further shaping her dedication to discipline, service, and resilience.

With over 25 years of experience in residential and community mental health, she has worked with children, adolescents, adults, military families, incarcerated individuals, and elderly populations. She has helped countless individuals break cycles of trauma, develop healthier behaviors, and create meaningful change in their lives.
