Child & Adolescent Therapy Services

Are you in need of therapy for an unexplained behavior your child is exhibiting?  Are you getting telephone calls from your child(ren)’s school?  Is your child(ren) having a difficult time making and keeping friends?

Services for children and adolescents are family-centered; however, treatment focuses on the child’s individual needs.  Therefore, the family is in the driving seat along their journey to wellness.

Adult Therapy Services

As an adult, seeking friends to give you advice may not be enough to help you process and work through a longstanding issue that has significantly impacted your daily functioning.

Adult therapy services provide an opportunity to work one-on-one with a therapist for guidance and support to resolve an issue, recover from an upsetting experience, explore thoughts and feelings, examine beliefs and work toward making healthy changes.

Employee Assistance Program Services (EAP)

Work-life and wellness go hand and hand.  Our approach helps an employee and their family members address an array of life challenges before they become distractions that affect home life as well as work performance.

Many companies offer free EAP assistance for employees and your sessions are covered at 100%.  Please contact your employer to discuss your EAP benefits and to get an authorization for services.

EMDR Trained or Certified? How the Difference Improves Your Practice

EMDR ( Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing)

What is EMDR Therapy?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help individuals process and heal from trauma, distressing memories, and emotional difficulties. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as guided eye movements, tapping, or auditory cues) to help the brain reprocess traumatic experiences, reducing their emotional intensity.

How EMDR Works:

  1. Assessment & Preparation: The therapist helps the client identify distressing memories and develop coping strategies.
  2. Processing: The client recalls the traumatic memory while engaging in bilateral stimulation, allowing the brain to reprocess the experience.
  3. Integration: The memory becomes less distressing, and new, positive beliefs replace negative thoughts associated with the trauma.

EMDR is widely recognized as an effective treatment for PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges, helping individuals move forward with greater emotional resilience and well-being.
